Road trip to Fleet Air Arm Museum...

Last weekend, the boarders were treated to a road trip to the Fleet Air Arm Museum with their very own tour guides Mr. Dixon & Mrs. Caesar. There were so many interesting things on display - Concorde, landing a helicopter on an aircraft carrier as well as cafes, shops and play areas! Everyone enjoyed the fascinating displays and interesting facts - see for yourselves below...

Quiz Night at High Vinnalls....

A lot has happened over the last couple of weeks since our last post - snow has fallen, the sun has shone but one thing has stayed the same and that is the fun just keeps on coming at High Vinnalls!!

Quiz Night was our Wacky Wednesday on the 21st January when the boarders were split into teams and they were challenged with questions from the world of geography, science, sport, showbiz and other fun categories. It was a great evening that was rounded off with one of Mrs. Ward's famous expensive prizes being given out!

Table football, table tennis, Wii and...Into The Woods...

The weather was not so kind to us on Saturday - snow flurries left us unable to do what we intended to do but it still didn't stop the fun at Bath's Best Boarding House! Mrs. Ward organised an impromptu 'High Vinnalls Tournament' involving table football, table tennis and Wii Sports - what more could you want to do on a wet and miserable Saturday afternoon!

On Sunday, the weather was better (but still freezing cold!) and it enabled us to journey off to Longwell Green cinema and watch 'Into The Woods'. The children thoroughly enjoyed it (as did Mrs. Higgins and Miss Caden!) and they all came back singing the songs from a great film.

Sportshall fun for Wacky Wednesday this week...

The visit to the sportshall is always a wonderful occasion, especially when the weather outside is not great! Once again, Mr. Hull (our very own Sir Edmund Hillary) set up the ropes but this time a more challenging climb was on the cards as the children had to climb up the 'chimney'!

When they weren't climbing they had 'free reign' to play football, basketball, netball, cricket or just sit and relax and talk to each other.
