Snowy day at Bath's Best Boarding House...

Well the snow arrived and the excitement was great! Mr & Mrs Ward were up clearing the paths and drives at High Vinnalls so that we could get the children off to school (there was no way they were having a day at home!). For some of our boarders, snow has not been a regular occurrence so it was great to see them with big smiles on their faces.

The first weekend of 2015 at Bath's Best Boarding House...

Friday night came and 'The Zoo Keeper' was the choice of film and caused many laughs throughout the evening. Friday Night Film Night is a very popular night of the week - probably because there is sometimes a surprise piece of tuck on show!

On Saturday, Mrs. Ward and Mr. Murphy showed off their 'Masterchef' skills with our very own High Vinnalls Bake Off. There were biscuits, cakes, cup-cakes all on show and the aroma wafting around the boarding house made us all feel that little bit hungry!

After a hearty lunch it was off to Clifton College to watch some of the senior school hockey teams play and get a bit of fresh air on what was a glorious afternoon - even if it was a little cold!

Saturday night is always a bit of TV night - with Strictly and X Factor now finished, it was the turn of The Voice!

A bit of a lie in on Sunday was in order before finishing some prep and having a bit of a tidy up. Then it was off to Boomerang Soft Play Centre for a bit of running, sliding, jumping, spinning and no doubt a bit of falling over too!

Swimming on a Sunday evening is always a highlight and brings to an end a busy and fun packed weekend - I wonder what next week will bring at Bath's Best Boarding House???

A new year and some new boarders - but the fun just keeps on getting better at Bath's Best Boarding House!

Fresh from the festivities over Christmas and New Year, our intrepid 'family' returned from their well-earned break and carried on from where they left off in 2014. The 'veterans' of boarding have made the first couple of days much easier for our new visitors from Hong Kong and they have made a great start at settling in to life at High Vinnalls.

For those of you that are new to our blog, every Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday, where no homework is completed and we get involved in lots of different and fun activities. Tonight was a 'Pub & Traditional Games' evening. There was darts (with budding Phil 'The Power' Taylors et al!), snooker (who wants to be Ronnie O'Sullivan!), Twister (ouch!), bowls (who is jack?) and to round it all off a game of 'heads and tails' with the winner decided by a toss of a coin!
