Year 6 Leavers' Service

Kingswood Chapel was the perfect setting for the Year 6 Leavers' Service on a beautiful evening. The service itself was full of fun and laughter as well as favourite hymns and readings. Mr. Brearey said a few words about each child before handing out a small gift. Our Year 6 boarders had a great time and we all enjoyed some lovely food after the service back at Summerhill before having a final runaround on the field. What a great way to spend their last night at High Vinnalls!

And the winners are....

The long awaited termly prizes and the visit to Pizza Hut - who was going to win tidiest dorm (we certainly knew who wasn't going to win it?!)? Who was going to win the most stars award? At breakfast, everyone was quiet as Mrs. Ward read out the names.....check out the pictures below to see who won the chance to come for a meal with Messrs. Ward and Hull!!

Sports Days at KPS - The boarders excel themselves...

Sports Days this year were blessed with lovely weather and not the usual rain! With England out of the World Cup, the English cricket team going through another 'rebuilding year' and Andy Murray losing at Wimbledon, it was up to the boarders at Bath's Best Boarding House to get the nation's sporting aspirations going again!!! Everyone participated with a smile on their face and whether it was Sackett, Osborn, Campbell or Wesley you were supporting, one couldn't help shouting words of encouragement to every single participant. Enjoy the pictures below...

The last weekend...and what a weekend it was....

The last weekend of the year at High Vinnalls and what a special weekend it was. On Saturday, we all went off to Sainsbury's to shop for our picnic ingredients before spending the afternoon buttering bread, filling the sandwiches and making scrummy cakes. £20 was the budget and what a feast was made!

Sunday morning greeted us with glorious sunshine and what a day to visit another country! Passports were readied (and a few believed us!) as we made our way to Wales and the infamous Barry Island. The beach was amazing and we were able to play cricket, football, build sandcastles and we even made our own SS High Vinnalls! After that it was a trip around the funfair and the amusements before making our way back along the M4 with tired bodies but high spirits.

Almost there but there will be a few more photos and posts as we head towards Friday and the end of term...
