More Christmas shenanigans at High Vinnalls...

What more could we do with only seven days to go? At Bath's Best Boarding House, we always find things to make the children's time special and fun. Wacky Wednesday saw the boarders visit Mr & Mrs Brearey's house for pizza and the odd sweet thing!

Last weekend saw the KPS Christmas Fayre and what a beautiful day it was! The sun shone, the playground was awash with activity and the hall was filled with sweets! The children had a fabulous time.

The evening saw us visit the theatre at the Senior School to watch the Kingswood @ 20 Gala Performance which was a celebration of the various shows that have taken place for the last two decades. It was a truly inspiring evening, with so many talented children showing off their skills in front of a packed house.

Sunday came and this time the theatre was visited for a very different type of performance - the pantomime! Dick Whittington was on show at the Bristol Hippodrome with Ashleigh and Pudsey of Britain's Got Talent fame the main attraction. The usual 'he's behind you' and the booing of the Queen Rat made for a great time which was thoroughly enjoyed by all but by Mrs Ward in particular!

Christmas shenanigans at Bath's Best Boarding House...

Finding the time in the last couple of weeks to keep you up to date with what has been going at High Vinnalls has been difficult; it has just been so busy and so much fun!

The last weekend of November saw the world famous Bath Christmas Market open in front of Bath Abbey and we managed to make our way around the various stalls looking at the beautiful things that were on display. This was followed by ice skating in Victoria Park which got the children in a very festive mood.

After a very busy and tiring day, decoration making was the name of the game in order to rest our weary bodies and engage our creative thinking. T-shirts were designed, cards and decorations made and it was a wonderful way to get the children into the Christmas spirit.

On Sunday evening, there was a very special atmosphere at Bath's Best Boarding House as we all sat down and enjoyed a wonderful Advent meal that was superbly designed and cooked by our catering team. With candles and posh tablecloths it really did feel very grown up!

Then it was time for the grand Christmas Light switch on - who needs Oxford Street and the Blackpool Illuminations when we can provide excitement at Bath's Best Boarding House! Whilst others had pop stars and TV royalty as their special guests, not one of these could compare to our very own 'Baby Christmas Pudding' who had the privilege of pressing the switch!
